The Class C Senior State American Legion Baseball Tournament will take place July 31 – August 4, 2010.  Tri County Legion Baseball volunteers have already been busy working on the field in preparation for the State Tournament.

     On Sunday May 2^nd, close to 25 volunteers including players, coaches and other volunteers installed clay bricks in the home plate and pitcher’s mound area, packing clay and the field was coated with a special “quick dry” red clay dirt.  The installation of these “special” soils will allow the field to be playable much quicker if wet from rain and will also reduce maintenance in highly used areas such as the home plate and pitcher’s mound areas.

     Work will go on now through the rest of the summer in preparing to host the 2010 Class C State Senior American Legion Baseball Tournament.

    Tri County Legion Baseball hosted the Class C-4 Senior American Legion District Baseball Tournament in 2008 and is looking forward to hosting the Class C State Senior American Legion Baseball Tournament in 2010.  Further information about the locations of American Legion Baseball District and State tournament sites in 2010 can be found on the web at:  www.nelegionbaseball.net.  The website for Tri County Legion Baseball can be found at:  www.baseballtricounty.org.
