SENIORS
WIN TWO AT HOME
As the Seniors drop the first two games on the road
against Fairbury & Wilber, they came back and won
the next two at home against Bennett and Friend.
At Fairbury Nick Schroeder, Sydney Shepler and Lucas
Carminatti each had a single, with Shepler scoring the
only run for Tri County as they fall to Fairbury
1-5. On May 31 Tri County traveled to Wilber where
they couldn't get the bats going , losing 1-4. Nick
Schroeder had two single, with AJ Peters bringing in the
lone run.
At home against Bennett Tri County play some sound defense
and got the bats going as they record their first win
13-5.
Singles
for Tri County was Nick Schroeder, Brian Pflanz, Sydney Shepler and Lance
Buss. Casey Koenig had a single and a double, as Jesse Koenig
had two singles and one double. Shepler was on the mound for 5
innings with 4 hits and two strikeouts. Pflanz came in in the 6th
recording 3 hits 2 strikeouts and one hit batter.
On
June 3rd Tri County kept the bats going as they beat Friend 16-6 in 6
innings. Lance Buss and Tyler Stege
each had a single with Brian Pflanz getting 3 singles. Nick
Schroeder had a double as Casey Koenig had a double and a triple. Sydney
Shepler had 3 singles and a triple as AJ Peters has the honor of hitting
Tri County's first homerun, hitting over left-center scoring 3.
Lucas Carminatti our foreign exchange student from Brazil is getting a
good lesson in baseball as he been hit by a pitch 3 times in 4
games. Way to take one for the team Lucas! Pitching for Tri
County was Pflanz giving up 4 hits and striking out 8 in 5 innings.
Schroeder came in in the 6th striking out 3.
Tri
County Seniors traveled to Lincoln to take on Dinsdales Auto, but was rain
out in the 2nd. They will go over to Edgar on June 7 at 8:00.
